MITS Alloy Aluminum Canopy
A canopy holds your gear. It’s where you can mount awnings, install power systems, build a kitchen out of, put a tent on top of, and is the center of your camp or work setup.
-
Loaded with inclusions, all canopies come with lift-off points built in, rubber flooring, unique rubber bush mounting for dampening, flush floor design, modular framework, removable headboard 12V-panel, and roof rack channels.
-
Building a strong canopy that doesn’t break the scales requires rethinking the way the frame works. MITS designed the framework to comprise both the structural frame of the canopy, as well as the mounting method for all internal options using an exclusive, in house designed Unistrut profile, now called MITS-strut. This Unistrut accepts channel nuts to bolt in and out any of the available internal accessories.
-
The 50mm door jamb lip that is present in most canopies on the market today can prove cumbersome to load and unload items and sometimes results in the installation of a heavy false floor. MITS have made the floor flush without adding extra weight thanks to smart fold patterns and design, meaning you save weight and have a canopy that is easier to use.
-
Every EVO2 canopy comes with a two-part rubber mounting system in every corner of the canopy. This bush (designed in conjunction with Fulcrum) acts like a vehicle body mount to help isolate the canopy from harsh offroad conditions like corrugation or extreme chassis torsion. The canopy is bolted through the bush and crush tube, so you have peace of mind that the canopy is securely attached.
-
A reworked door design has allowed for properly hinged doors, rather than using old style centre flex hinge. This makes doors easier to replace, but also meant a new door fold design and rain gutter to channel water away from the door opening are now part of every canopy.
-
Do you know exactly what you want in your canopy? If you don’t that’s ok! Thanks to the MITS-strut design, you can start with a blank canvas and fit out the internals later, once you’ve taken the time to figure out exactly how you want to use your canopy. Did you go for a full fit out at the start, but now your needs have changed? No worries! You can simply bolt out your current setup and change the components out for the new arrangement – saving money on a whole new canopy!
-
Every MITS canopy comes lift off as standard. This way, you know that if you ever need to use the tray to carry large items or heavy equipment, you have the option to do so. Don’t want to carry your fully decked out touring canopy every day? You don’t have to!
